CM Punk To AJ Styles After WWE RAW: It Has Been A Privilege To Know You, It’s A Privilege To Call You A Friend

CM Punk and AJ Styles interact after this week’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW.

On this week’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, the show would open with Punk and Styles agreeing to a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship that same night. In the bout, Finn Balor would cause a disqualification, ending the match before it reached it’s conclusion. Styles is currently scheduled to face off with Gunther at the WWE Royal Rumble later this week with his WWE career on the line.

While speaking to the fans after this week’s edition of WWE RAW, CM Punk would note that it’s been a privilege to know AJ Styles and to call him a friend.

“Look I don’t know what happens in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia when AJ Styles takes on Gunther, I just know that I’m going to be glued to the monitor watching just like every one of you. I mean this when I say it, AJ, I whispered it to you earlier: I don’t care who knows it publicly, it has been a privilege to know you. It’s a privilege to call you (a) friend, it’s an honor to be in the ring with you. I speak as a fan, I hope Saturday’s not it, but if it is- man, what a hell of a career. I love you brother, thank you.”
