Seth Rollins initially didn’t want LA Knight to know about his worked injury until Triple shut down the idea.

During the Saturday Night’s Main Event in the lead up to SummerSlam last year, Seth Rollins would go down with what would turn out to be a worked injury in his singles bout with LA Knight. Rollins would live on crutches until SummerSlam, where he would reveal that the injury had been faked when he cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase on CM Punk at the event.

While speaking during the fourth episode of WWE: Unreal’s second season, Triple H shared that Seth Rollins initially did not want LA Knight to know about the worked aspect of the injury, until Triple H pointed out how he would feel if the roles were reversed and was not informed.

“One of the few people that I couldn’t in good conscience let think that this was real, was LA Knight. But Seth came to me and he said, ‘why does LA Knight need to know? I don’t feel like he needs to know,’ I said, ‘Seth. If the roles were reversed on this and I didn’t tell you, you would be out of your mind pissed at me. You’re a professional in the ring, and your first thought is make sure your opponent doesn’t get hurt and all these things, and he gets hurt on your watch and then you find out later it was all bullshit? You’d be out of your mind mad that I didn’t clue you in on that.’ He paused for a few seconds, looked at me, and was like ‘fair enough’, and he never brought it up again right? He has to know.”

Elsewhere in the same episode, Triple H spoke about not informing the referee in the match about the injury being fake. You can read more about that here.
