Paul Heyman puts over Penta’s connection with fans during the second season of WWE: Unreal.
Since making his debut with WWE in January of 2025, Penta has quickly become a fan favorite in the company, connecting with young fans with his signature catchphrase and hand signal. This continued into the middle of the year, where Penta would have a landmark performance in the 2025 Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match.
While speaking just a week after the 2025 Money In The Bank premium live event during the third episode of WWE: Unreal’s second season, Paul Heyman spoke about how over Penta has become, noting that WWE has something really special with him.
“I know we said this in advance, I know we said this once he debuted. We got something with this fucking Penta. Here are two things, over time that you learn. One, you listen to the star pop when they come out. But you understand it’s just a star pop. But in the match, when they’re selling and they start to come up, what’s the reaction? ‘Cause that’s when they have to care about you, to make your comeback. It’s that 30 seconds that you’re selling and you’re coming up, it’s like, ‘goddamn it, I need to do this, I need to,’ and they rally behind you. Penta is over like a motherfucker. When he made the move for the ladder, they wanted him to win so bad. I’m telling you, we’ve got something really special with him.”
Elsewhere in the same episode, Seth Rollins expressed his hatred for Money In The Bank ladder matches. You can read more about that here.
