Ian Riccaboni Accepts the Fightful Award For Announcer of the Year, ‘It Was All About Being Part Of Great Teams’

Ian Riccaboni has won the 2026 Fightful Award for Announcer of the Year.
“Announcer of the year is an individual award, but for me, it was all about being part of great teams in 2025. I wouldn’t have this award if it wasn’t for my broadcast partner on Ring of Honor Caprice Coleman. We’ve been a team together, I think the longest on television, for seven years, and been together in some fashion for nine. Excalibur, for letting me have a lane on Dynamite. Taz, for giving me tremendous advice week after week. Niguel McGuinness, last year’s winner of this award, for giving me tips and tricks on enhancing the storytelling in matches. To my mentors, Tony Schiavone and Good Ol’ JR. It’s been a blessing to be part of teams in AEW and Ring of Honor. To me, this just shows that I was part of some great teams and tremendous pro wrestling. I think of this as an award for Robert Horry, one of the great swingmen in the NBA. He could start, come off the bench, but was always ready to hit the big shot. Most importantly, he was on some of the greatest teams in NBA history. I look at this as a team award. I’ll treasure this,” said Riccaboni.
Riccaboni is the play-by-play announcer for ROH and does commentary on AEW Dynamite and Collision when needed.
Congratulations to Riccaboni on his award.
