Chelsea Green Explains Why She Has Trouble Separating Herself From Being A WWE Superstar When Auditioning For Acting Roles

Chelsea Green discusses her struggles of auditioning in Hollywood.
Wrestlers transitioning into Hollywood, whether it be full-time or a random cameo, is nothing new and has become more prominent over the years with WWE and wrestling gaining more mainstream acceptance.
Chelsea Green has often been praised by her peers in wrestling for her comedy chops and timing, but fans haven’t seen it play out yet in television or film.
“So it’s funny because my name is Chelsea Green. My real name is Chelsea Green. My wrestling name is Chelsea Green,” Chelsea explained on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio when asked if she has to work hard to separate her WWE persona from real life in auditioning.
“That’s not typical at all. So it’s good and it’s bad because I can’t separate myself. If they look me up, which they’re gonna look anyone up who they have like a callback especially. Or if my agent pitches me because they think it’s a good idea. Oh, she has so many followers because that’s a thing now. Hollywood wants people with followers, but then they don’t want wrestlers. So it’s like a very weird vibe where I use it to my advantage, but if I’m feeling like it’s not to my advantage, I will shut it down and that’s why I took off all my nails. I don’t have fake eyelashes. I don’t have fake hair. Like I don’t have all the things when I go to those auditions. I look like Joe Schmo. Like the next girl because I would rather that than what you see on my Instagram, which is glam times a thousand,” she said.
Chelsea is once again set to be featured in WWE Unreal on Netflix.
Elsewhere during the interview, she gave a spinoff idea for the show. You can find her comments here.
