JDC Jokes That The Day After His Retirement Match At TNA Genesis, He’ll Start Taking Indie Bookings

J.D.C. will likely get into producing.

J.D.C. (Johnny Dango Curtis), the former Fandango, is wrapping up his in-ring career after 26 years as a wrestler. His final opponent will be his faction mate in The System, Eddie Edwards. They will clash at TNA Wrestling’s 2026 Genesis pay-per-view.

J.D.C was welcomed onto the Battleground Podcast, and when asked what is on the horizon for him post-in-ring career, he joked that he’ll be taking indie bookings the following day. He then went on to seriously state that he’ll likely get into producing. He added that he’ll probably get more involved with Limitless Wrestling’s school in Maine, where he’s from.

“You know how the wrestlers go, ‘I’m accepting indie bookings’ on their Instagram or Twitter? I’ll probably post that the day after,” he laughed. “‘Now accepting bookings.’ Someone’s gotta take care of all those outlaw shows in the ballfields and stuff so, I’ll probably do some backstage stuff bro, some producing. There’s a new wrestling school, Limitless and Pine State Wrestling, up in Maine, that’s where I’m from. I’ll probably get a little bit more involved in the wrestling school back there. Dude, I’ve got 27 years in this game. You can’t just completely walk away from it and I say this all the time is I won’t miss wrestling, but I will miss the wrestlers. I got to be around the boys in some capacity so, I’ll be involved in some capacity but dude, I do not ever care about hitting a leg drop or falling down on my back ever again. If I hit Eddie (Edwards) with one last leg, I’ll just be like, thank God. I hope I never have to do that again. I could care less about ever bumping again, like honestly.”

J.D.C. has spent the last several years of his career with TNA Wrestling. He spent over a decade with WWE.
