Mistico: I Would Like to be in the Main Event of the 93rd Anniversary Show in CMLL
As part of an exclusive interview with SI’s Sid Pullar III, Mistico spoke about a wide range of topics including MLW, CMLL, MJF, among many others.
One of the main things Mistico hammered down was the fact that he wanted a MLW World Heavyweight Championship match in 2026.
Mistico also knows his rivalry with MJF is far from over, and he expects the two to take their differences into the United States this year.
All of that said, he’s still hungry for more and eyes the best. Mistico told Pullar he wants to be in the main event of CMLL’s biggest show of the year, and he has a few potential opponents in mind.
“There are some new challenges that I want to take on in the next year. I would like to be in the main event of the 93rd Anniversary show in CMLL,” Mistico said. “I would like to have a rivalry for a Mask vs. Mask Match or a Mask vs. Hair Match.”
He added, “I would like to face Mephisto in a Mask vs. Mask Match, or against Averno, Volador Jr. There are some big names that I would like to face in a Lucha de Apuestas Match in the 93rd Anniversary show in CMLL.”
Even though Mistico took on MJF in a Mask vs. Title match at the 92nd Anniversary, the main event saw Esfinge take down Valiente in a Mask vs. Mask match. Mistico knows his main goals for 2026, and main eventing the 93rd Anniversary show is at the top of the list.
