Shota Umino Announces He’s Re-Signed With NJPW
Shota Umino is staying with New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
On social media, Shota announced that he has re-signed with NJPW.
“I have signed a contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling Co., Ltd. for the 2026 fiscal year.
“My beloved family is “New Japan Pro-Wrestling” alone.”

Shota has been with NJPW since 2017 when he debuted as a Young Lion. He has never held gold in his NJPW career, but has challenged for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title on multiple occasions, including Wrestle Kingdom 19 when he headlined against Zack Sabre Jr.
He competed in the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Title Rambo at Wrestle Kingdom 20.
