MJF Brings Back ‘Triple B’ AEW World Title At New Year’s Smash; Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland & Hangman Adam Page Puts MJF On Notice

MJF is met by several challengers.
Starting AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash was an appearance from the newly crowned AEW World Champion, MJF. In the main event of the Worlds End pay-per-view, MJF emerged victorious from a four-way featuring Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Hangman Adam Page to become a two-time AEW World Champion.
On the final Dynamite of 2025, MJF brought back his ‘Big Burberry Belt,’ which is a custom version of the AEW World Championship.
As MJF was speaking, Kenny Omega appeared via video. He said MJF’s comments made him feel like he is approaching the end of his career and wonders if he could become World Champion again. Omega made it clear that he wants a shot at the title.
Showing up would be Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland. They tried to rush the ring, but MJF had security on hand to stop them. MJF told Strickland and Page to pick up some wins before coming at him. He ran off before Page and Swerve broke free.
After Swerve and Hangman addressed MJF on the microphone, The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhobbs Hobbs & HOOK) appeared via video. The former champion Joe said he’s the only one who deserves a title shot after losing the belt at Worlds End.
