Kenny Omega & Will Ospreay To Attend Hiroshi Tanahashi’s Retirement Ceremony At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20
Omega and Ospreay will be present at The Dome.
The final match of Hiroshi Tanahashi’s in-ring career is taking place at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4th at the Tokyo Dome. His opponent will be seven-time IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada.
In addition to the match, there will be a retirement ceremony for Tanahashi. New Japan broke the news that among the names scheduled to attend the ceremony are AEW’s Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega.

Omega last appeared under the NJPW banner in Japan when he was in the co-main event of Wrestle Dynasty and defeated Gabe Kidd in singles competition. The match between Omega and Kidd brought Tanahashi to tears.
Ospreay is currently recovering from neck surgery. His last match before surgery was at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. He teamed with Darby Allin, Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega, and Hiroshi Tanahashi in a Lights Out Steel Cage match.
