WrestleVotes reports “USA Network wanted to get Joe Hendry” and “There have been discussions about Hendry getting a main roster call-up, with SmackDown being his permanent home.”

Hendry has made multiple main roster appearances in 2025, most notably competing in the men’s Royal Rumble and facing Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 while still the TNA World Champion. He signed with WWE later in the year and has been part of NXT.

Hendry is set to face The Miz in a Christmas street fight on the December 26th episode of WWE SmackDown.
