Seth Rollins: If John Cena Won His Last Match, We Wouldn’t Be Talking About It

John Cena tapped out in his last match, losing to Gunther and calling it a career.
The finish has been heavily discussed since the match took place on December 13th with some believing that Cena should’ve won to send the fans home happy.
Speaking to Jay Mohr on Mohr Stories, Seth Rollins was asked why Cena tapped out.
“I have a sneaky suspicion that it was his idea. I don’t know if that’s true because I didn’t ask. If I’m blowing up your spot John, I’m sorry. I think it was his idea, personally. I think it was his idea. It’s customary in our business to, when you’re on your way out, put the guy over. If John Cena had won the match, we wouldn’t even be having the conversation today. No one would be talking about it. At the end of it, we’d be like, ‘Aw, that was great.’ That’s it. There would be no money to be made,” he said.
Elsewhere during the interview, Rollins gave an update on his shoulder injury. You can read his comments here.
