Brian Cage: “I’m Okay If I Finish My Career With AEW”
Cage is okay with ending his pro wrestling career at AEW.
In 2024, Brian Cage made separate media appearances and stated that his agent had negotiations with WWE before Cage ultimately ended up re-signing with AEW. He would later state that he has ‘about six years’ remaining on his AEW deal.
While doing a virtual signing for East Coast Autograph Auctions, Cage reiterated that he had talks with WWE. Cage went on to state that he’s okay with ending his career at AEW.
“It was a close call a couple times,” Cage reacted to a chat user writing that they wish he’d go to WWE. “I was there developmentally, and we did negotiate back and forth a little bit, before I decided to sign back to AEW. Never know what the future holds but, I’m content with how it’s — everyone back there and I’m not saying that in a negative or anti-WWE way. My goal my whole time in my life, I kept telling everybody, ‘I’d be signed to WWE by the time I was 24.’ When I was 24, I got signed to WWE. So at least I can say I was there and I did that. There’s pros and cons to everything, but, I’m okay if I finish my career with AEW.”
Cage has undergone three knee surgeries in 2025. He provided an update on his recovery, and to read his comments, head over to this link.
