GUNTHER Weighs In On Him Defeating John Cena Being Compared To Brock Lesnar Ending The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak
GUNTHER addresses the comparison.
The first media appearance that GUNTHER made after defeating John Cena in Cena’s final match was with TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast.
As the conversation moved along, the show host mentioned that some have compared GUNTHER defeating Cena in his final match to Brock Lesnar ending The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak. Here is how GUNTHER reacted to that:
“Um, yeah, I think maybe you can make it because I think back about that, it was a similar situation. It was like a real outrage about it, and it was the right thing, yeah, back then because Brock (Lesnar), he’s still in the company, and he was the mountain to climb for 10 years now… I don’t know how long ago that he ended the streak but, yeah, it is a similar situation that also comes with a bit of pressure because at the end of the day, what I achieved that night is a gift and now it’s on me to protect that gift and yeah, keep it up and that’s the challenge for me now and judge me after — how I did.”
GUNTHER and Brock Lesnar faced off in the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match.
