In a recent interview, Seth Rollins would discuss the origin of his finisher, The Stomp. Rollins spoke of how he took the move from Alex Shelley, who took the move from Japanese pro wrestler Naomichi Marufuji, a pro wrestler that Rollins noted is ‘like a god’ at innovating wrestling moves.
In a new social media post, Marufuji would make a post noting that he is glad Rollins took the move from him, noting that he would like to face Seth Rollins in the ring one day.

Rollins is currently out of action with a shoulder injury that he suffered back at WWE Crown Jewel Perth, an injury that forced him to vacate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
