The Miz Reveals The Best Advice That He Received From John Cena
The Miz has kind words for John Cena.
Days before his final match with Gunther, John Cena was showered with praise from his peers in an exclusive video that WWE posted to their YouTube channel. Stars from the company were asked to share the best piece of advice that Cena has given them over the years.
The Miz chimed in and said that Cena taught him how to be a top guy in the wrestling industry.
“When people say, ‘Oh, he’s the first person here and the last one to leave, he works really hard.’ You hear everyone talk about that, but there’s a different level to it. John leads by example through that, that’s what I learned from it. It’s, okay, you wanna be in the top spot, you want to be that guy? You have to work harder than everyone. Do things that nobody else wants to do. Everyone’s gonna celebrate you when you’re champion, they don’t ever see the grind or the grit or what it takes to get to be the champion. Then, when you are champion, they don’t understand what it takes to have that pressure on you. John taught me that just by living and being and doing what he needed to do to be the top person that he wanted to be. There’s a reason he’s not only been top of WWE, but also in the movies. Anything he puts his mind to, he can do.”
