Athena Scores Win Over Persephone At ROH Final Battle, Will Reach Three Years As ROH Women’s World Champion

Athena’s historic reign continues.

Closing out Ring of Honor’s 2025 Final Battle pay-per-view was CMLL’s Persephone challenging Athena for the ROH Women’s World Championship.

Athena has been champion for nearly 1100 days. She won the belt at Final Battle 2022 and has had 33 title defenses.

That 33rd title defense was against Persephone, and it was successful. Athena put the CMLL wrestler away with her O-Face finisher. Post-match, Billie Starkz and Diamanté came out to celebrate with Athena.

On December 10th, it will have officially been three years since Athena became ROH Women’s World Champion.
