Ricochet Makes First Defense of AEW National Championship, Def. Dalton Castle At ROH Final Battle

The first-ever defense of the belt.

It was at AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view that the first-ever AEW National Champion was crowned. There was a Casino Gauntlet match, and coming out with the win was Ricochet.

Ricochet’s first defense of the belt took place at Ring of Honor’s Final Battle pay-per-view against Dalton Castle.

Ricochet was able to put Castle away to retain the championship.

While doing media, AEW President Tony Khan stated that there are a lot of promotions that want to bring Ricochet in. As National Champion, he’ll defend the belt across multiple promotions.
