Queen Aminata Not Cleared For ROH Women’s Pure Title Tournament Semifinals

Queen Aminata was scheduled to face Deonna Purrazzo in the semifinals of the ROH Women’s Pure Title tournament on the December 4th episode of ROH TV.

Unfortunately, Aminata suffered an injury at the end of October and was not cleared going into November. She was pulled from the women’s Blood & guts match on November 12th.

Speaking on the ROH Final Battle media call, Tony Khan said Aminata is still not cleared and she would be forfeiting her match against Purrazzo.

As a result of the forfeit, Purrazzo will face the winner of Yuka Sakazaki vs. Billie Starkz in the finals of the tournament at ROH Final Battle.

“Unfortunately, and it’s unexpected because we thought she would be cleared by now, Queen Aminata is still dealing with the aftereffects of that injury,” said Tony.

He continued, “Queen Aminata was not cleared and she will have to forfeit. We’ve given her as much time as I could to have her come back and wrestle. The plan was to tape the semifinals last night. The doctors would not clear her to do that match.”

Aminata revealed that neck tightness initially prevented her from being cleared.

Fightful wishes Queen Aminata the best as she recovers.
