Dion Lennox Hands Over NXT Tag Title Belt, DarkState Agrees On Saquon Shugars Being Champion With Osiris Griffin

The reigning NXT Tag Team Champions were DarkState’s Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin. Lennox is heading into the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline.

He met with Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Cutler James backstage. He told his DarkState factionmates that it would not be fair to them if he tried to hold the NXT Tag Titles while aiming for the NXT Championship. He then offered the belt to the group and left it up to them to decide who would be champion alongside Osiris.

Cutler James insisted that Shugars be champion.

It is now official that the NXT Tag Team Champions are Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin.
