Paul Wight Recounts Vince McMahon Keeping Him At Venue For An Hour Because He Kept Flinching During Taped WWE Segment With Brock Lesnar

There’s an extensive interview with Paul Wight that was recorded for Notsam Wrestling Live!. One of the stories Wight told was when he kept flinching while filming a WWE segment with Brock Lesnar.

Vince McMahon kept Wight at the venue for over an hour, and eventually, Wight stopped flinching because he was tired.

“I had to do that one time where they kept us after SmackDown in Tampa, where I lived. I was there for an hour doing a promo with Brock (Lesnar) and Vince (McMahon) kept making us do it over and over and over because Brock would do that thing, that headfake, and I flinched every time, and Vince and Brock thought it was so — ‘why are you flinching?’ ‘Because I got fight or flight reflexes dumbass.’ We were there for over an hour and I was just like, okay, because I was getting ready to get put through a desk. So I think after a while, I stopped flinching just because I got tired.”

Wight is with All Elite Wrestling. He expressed in this interview that he’s not done in the ring. ‘A couple months ago,’ Wight had a small back surgery.
