DDT’s Soma Takao To Take Break From In-Ring Competition To Focus On Treatment For Left Knee Injury

He’ll be stepping away in the new year.

An announcement from DDT Pro-Wrestling was rolled out, and it had to do with three-time KO-D Tag Team Champion Soma Takao.

In January 2026, he’ll be stepping away from in-ring competition to tend to a lingering left knee injury.

Takao has been wrestling for DDT since 2013. As of this writing, he was most recently in action at the promotion’s November 30th show.

Takao is entering his 17th year as a wrestler.
