Up until he walked out from behind the curtain, Cardona did not know which version of his Zack Ryder theme music would play during his WWE return.
Earlier this month, Cardona would return to WWE as Zack Ryder, facing off with LA Knight in the ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament on an episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Since then, Matt Cardona has revealed several small details about the return.
While speaking to MuscleManMalcolm in a recent interview, Cardona would explain that right up until he walked out from behind the curtain, he did not know which version of Zack Ryder’s theme music would play.
“Before I walk through the curtain, what music are they gonna play? I know they’re not playing Alwayz Ready, but I don’t know for sure. Okay, I know they’re gonna play Radio, but are they playing the old version? Are they playing the Downstait version? Is it gonna have the woo-woo-woo before it? Like, I had no clue. So you guys heard it the same time I heard it. I’m kind of glad they went with the Downstait version.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Cardona reflected on winning the WWE US title at TLC 2011. You can read more about that here.
