CM Punk Says He Would Have Been The Perfect Final Opponent For John Cena
John Cena is set to have his retirement match on December 13 as part of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
A tournament is ongoing to determine who will face Cena in his final match with Gunther, Solo Sikoa, Jey Uso, Rusev, LA Knight, and a mystery participant.
Appearing on Up & Adams with Kay Adams, CM Punk was asked who he thought would be the perfect final opponent fo Cena.
“Perfect, probably would’ve been me. Who is the perfect opponent that is actually in the field, right now, I don’t know if it’s perfect, but it’s looking like Gunther. I’ve been in the ring with him and I know what he can do. I don’t know who else in that tournament can beat him right now,” he said.
Gunther will face Solo Sikoa in the semifinals.
Punk and John Cena had their final match at WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
