On March 17, 2005, Cena debuted his new theme song on WWE SmackDown, as he brought his ‘The Time Is Now’ song from his one and only rap album to television for the first time. While it is one of the most iconic wrestling theme songs of all time, the producer and Cena have an interesting fact.
While speaking to ESPN about Cena’s album, the producer, Jacob Dutton, spoke about how he and Cena have yet to meet despite being partners on Cena’s music.
“I have never met John Cena in person, and I haven’t talked to him since he bought the beat,” he said. “That’s OK, but I would like WWE to get me a plaque or something because that song has to be platinum by now.”
