Ace Austin Claims He Was Up Next In The National Title Gauntlet

While Ricochet failed to enter the Casino Gauntlet at No. 1, he made a lasting impression by becoming the first AEW National Champion at Full Gear. Upon doing so, he upset Ace Austin who claimed he was going to be the next participant in the match.

In total, 12 competitors fought to become the first AEW National Champion. After Ricochet’s win, Austin took to social media to express his displeasure, “Man this sucks… I was next up in that gauntlet. 64 seconds till my music… And it just had to be Ricochet to cut me short again…”

Austin and Ricochet are no strangers to one another, having competed on the August 14 edition of Collision. While Austin couldn’t control the match not going an extra 64 seconds longer, he would love to make a case to be Ricochet’s first challenger for the brand new championship.
