Several mixed martial artists have crossed over into pro wrestling over the years, with some of the most notable including Ken Shamrock and Ronda Rousey. One active fighter who has expressed the desire to work with WWE is Michael Chandler, who has also cut a promo on WWE RAW on Conor McGregor previously.

While speaking to Brian Mazique in a new interview, Michael Chandler spoke about feeling like he is an entertainer masquerading as a fighter.

“I mean, I think maybe I really have been an entertainer masquerading as a fighter this entire time. I just, I don’t know, man. I think I just come from a background where I was a small guy from a small town who was taught to do small things and I was overlooked. I do think there’s millions of, especially young men out there who are being taught and told and conditioned to the same exact thing, that don’t take chances, play small, don’t take big risks. I think I’ve just stuffed that voice down so much that I I want to engage in maybe ROI negative and a little bit chaotic activities. Man, it’s been a lot of fun and I do think I’ve got a hit list in the WWE. But we’ve got to get through Conor (McGregor) first, get my hand raised at the White House, and we’ll talk to Triple H and we’ll see what happens.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Chandler spoke about having a bone to pick with Dominik Mysterio. You can read more about that here.
