FTR Comments On AEW Potential Training Center
In October, Fightful Select reported there were talks of an AEW training center in Asheville with Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Adam Copeland, and Beth Phoenix training talent.
Tony Khan confirmed AEW was interested in a training center, and had talked about it.
Speaking to Tim & Eli on Battleground, FTR were asked about the potential training center.
Dax said, “I don’t know where that stands. All I know is that training is something I’m very interested in and something I love doing. We did have a few guys and girls come to Asheville from AEW. They were doing very well. We were working with Sting’s son as well. It’s something that is an itch that training will scratch for me. I hope to one day be able to do that. If it’s with AEW, that’ll be even better. We’ll see.”
Cash added, “Right now, honestly, most weeks we do Dynamite and Collision. That’s four days on the road, so it’s hard. Then, you count pay-per-views and international tours. There is no set schedule for us and it’s a lot of weeks up in the air where you’re not home enough at all. It might be easier for us once we’re a little more part-time. If Adam and Beth get over this slight misunderstanding in Toronto, maybe we can get that figured out.”
Beth Phoenix got involved in FTR’s match against Adam Copeland & Christian Cage at AEW All Out, and was on the receiving end of a spike piledriver. Copeland has not been back on AEW TV since All Out.
FTR will challenge Brodido (Bandido & Brody King) for the AEW Tag Team Titles at AEW Full Gear.
