Kevin Knight Reacts To Dax Harwood’s Praise, ‘Deception Is The Number One Tactic In War’
Kevin Knight reacts to Dax Harwood’s praise.
Earlier this month, Dax Harwood made some headlines after saying that FTR hasn’t had chemistry with a team like JetSpeed since their days with American Alpha. Harwood also said that Knight will be a “main event ace” for AEW in 3-5 years.
Appearing on the latest episode of AEW Unrestricted, Knight dismissed Harwood’s praise, saying that he’s just trying to soften him up for future matches.
“You know, I don’t have an eight ball or a magic genie at my disposal, all I can do is take those words like, it is what it is. Straight exactly what he said. I’m a big proponent of reading, I read the article, I know that people keep their friends and their enemies closer. Deception is the number one tactic in war. I’m not sure if Dax is trying to throw me off my game so when I get in the ring I’ll take it a little bit easier on him or if [he thinks] I maybe want to join him in the future or something. I don’t know what the long game is for him saying this. Very nice words, but I’m not easily fooled by a little compliment here and there. Honestly, I don’t need his compliments, I very much appreciate it and I know how good I am. The fact that every single time JetSpeed has went against FTR, they’ve had to pull some type of interference, little Stokely is always getting involved with his little nubby fingers. I think he’s trying to soften me up so he may be able to get one over on me. You know Dax, he’s always thinking a step ahead but I’m always thinking two steps ahead.”
The FTR duo of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler will challenge Brodido for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at AEW Full Gear. Check out other matches for the show by clicking here.
