Natalya: Maxxine Dupri Is Not Afraid Of Hard Work
Maxxine Dupri has shown improvement in the ring since making her debut two years ago, thanks in large part to her training with Natalya at The Dungeon.
On Monday, Maxxine captured the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, defeating Becky Lynch.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Natalya discussed Maxxine’s development.
“I do feel very proud in having a hand in Maxxine’s development. That’s my nature, from the very first time I started wrestling. I love being able to help others and motivate people. TJ (Wilson) has been working with a lot of us on aggression, intensity, and being more explosive. It’s helping a lot of people who come into our ring. Maxxine is one of them. I love when I show her something and I see her doing it on Raw. I’ll show her something I did with Charlotte in my 2014 match at NXT TakeOver, and Maxxine will try it, learn it, practice it at the Dungeon, and she’ll put it into play. Intelligence is the application of knowledge. It feels so good when she’s able to apply the things she’s been learning with us. I love that. Now, she’s the champion, and this is where the real work begins. The thing I love about Maxxine is she”s not afraid of hard work. She has a very strong work ethic,” said Natalya.
Elsewhere during the interview, Natalya revealed she was not at WWE Raw, but wishes she was there for Maxxine. You can find her full comments here.
