Thunder Rosa Feels Her Microphone Skills Improved After Feuding With Deonna Purrazzo In AEW

Rosa looks back on her program with Purrazzo.

From April 2024 to August 2024, Thunder Rosa and Deonna Purrazzo were at odds with one another and had five one-on-one matches during that timeframe.

While guest appearing on Masks Mats & Mayhem, Rosa looked back on that program with Purrazzo. She feels that it helped improve her skills on the microphone.

Rosa feels outside of that program; she has not been given much of an opportunity to display what she can do on the microphone since coming back into the fold of AEW.

“They don’t let me. The problem is they don’t let me. They don’t give me a mic. Like, give me a mic, give me three, four points. We’ll figure it out and we’ll do it and we’ll do it right. I think one of the things that helped me a lot was when I was feuding with Deonna (Purrazzo). That helped a lot. Because we had to go back and forth, back and forth and she gave me a lot of, you know, rope to hang myself with it,” Rosa chuckled. “But again, I don’t feel in the last — ever since I came back, they have given me opportunities to be on the microphone but they haven’t really allowed me to be in the microphone and shine through that. I don’t know if it’s because of what happened prior to that when I was a champion. I don’t know. It doesn’t matter. I just keep working on the craft and that’s it. I’m working with an acting coach in the very, very near future, so I can get better at this, and I just wanna get better at what I do.”

The match score between Purrazzo and Rosa is 3-2 in Purrazzo’s favor. Their blowoff bout was a Texas Bullrope match on Collision.
