CM Punk Says Regaining WWE World Heavyweight Title Was An ‘Unexpected Treat’

Punk says becoming champion again was unexpected.

CM Punk is once again WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He defeated Jey Uso at Saturday Night’s Main Event to regain the title. It was at SummerSlam where Punk bested GUNTHER to win the belt, but his title reign came to an end immediately after when Seth Rollins cashed in on him.

Punk spoke about regaining the title while on WGN. He called the victory an ‘unexpected treat.’

“Oh, it’s tremendous (being back with WWE). Literally having the time of my life and I think it resonates. I think you can see it. This (WWE World Heavyweight Title) is an unexpected treat. Obviously, I’m older, I’m more mature, and I feel like I get it now. The weight of this, it isn’t so heavy but I have more of an understanding now. Like, yeah, this is part of the job and I know some day this is all gonna be over so I’m just enjoying it.”
