Orange Cassidy notes that there is no way to prepare to wrestle Jon Moxley.

Last week on AEW’s Blood And Guts edition of AEW Dynamite, old foes Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy would feature as part of the field in the men’s bout. During the course of the match, Cassidy would have his hands stapled into his pockets by Moxley and the Death Riders. However, Orange would have the last laugh at the culmination of the bout, as Moxley tapped out to Kyle O’Reilly.

While speaking to Adrian Hernandez in a new interview, Cassidy was asked if it was possible to prepare for a match with Moxley.

“There isn’t, but I’ve been across the ring from Jon Moxley throughout the past couple of years, and he’s always been kind of like this milestone or a checkpoint or something like that where I know, and I think I said this before in promos in the ring, whatever. You are not the same when you wrestle a match to that magnitude with Jon Moxley or the Death Riders, and they change you. So knowing all of that and knowing that my Conglomerates and my good friend Darby Allin wanted to do the Blood and Guts, they were like, ”you’re going to have to tell them. You’ll say it,’ and I was like, I mean, if you heard me say it, I did not want to do it, but my friends did. So, I didn’t even think about it until I had to walk into the ring because it hurts even thinking about Blood and Guts, let alone being (in it).”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Cassidy noted that he couldn’t believe Mark Briscoe wrestled days after competing in Blood and Guts. You can read more about that here.
