DarkState Def. Leon Slater & Je’Von Evans To Retain NXT Tag Team Championship At NXT Gold Rush

DarkState holds on to the gold.

The third of four championship matches on week one of NXT Gold Rush was the NXT Tag Team Championship match.

The duo of Je’Von Evans and TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater challenged DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) for the gold.

The backend of the bout saw Evans springboard into the ring to break up a pin attempt by DarkState, but the opposition moved out of the way and Evans landed on Slater.

DarkState proceeded to remove Evans from the ring and capitalized by isolating Slater and putting him away to retain their titles.
