NJPW’s El Desperado Out Of Action With Back Injury

An injury note on Desperado.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling held a show on November 16th, and one of the talents advertised for it was El Desperado.

Before showtime, New Japan pushed out the announcement that Desperado suffered a back injury and would not be able to compete.

Desperado last wrestled at the New Japan Road show on November 8th in a six-man tag team match.

On the schedule for Desperado is he’ll be in action at Wrestle Kingdom 20 in January 2026. He’ll be in a four-way match with Kosei Fujita, Taiji Ishimori, and SHO to determine who will get a shot at the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
