Kelani Jordan Says She Felt Nervous For First Heel Promo, Didn’t Want To Let Shawn Michaels Down

On the November 4th episode of WWE NXT, Kelani Jordan addressed her actions against Jordynne Grace where she struck “The Juggernaut” with the TNA Knockouts Championship.

Speaking to Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Kelani Jordan was asked how she felt about delivering her first big heel promo in front of the live audience.

“I felt a few things. One, I knew it was a challenge for me because I’ve never cut a promo that long in my life. That’s a challenge in itself. I felt like HBK [Shawn Michael] put me out there because he believes in me, and he knew I could do it, and he knew I had a lot of things on my chest that I needed to off ever since I won this title, and people saying I’m a traitor and being booed. ‘I’m not going to let him down. I’m not going to let myself down, and everyone who did believe in me and knew that I was doing the right thing by winning this title. I’m not going to let all the people who believe in me down.’ Even those who booed me, I was like, ‘I’m going to show you why I’m Kelani Jordan.’ I felt nervous because I wanted it to go so well, but also make sure I was getting my point across and stating my truth, whether people believed my truth or not,” she said.

Jordan is set to defend her TNA Knockouts Title against M By Elegance at TNA Turning Points.
