WWE Announces NXT Roster for Florida Event that Includes New Name
The WWE has announced its updated roster for next week’s event, which will be aired on The CW and Netflix and take place in Orlando, Florida, at the WWE Performance Center on November 11.
Fans will now be able to price up the best betting options, with the Hardrock sports betting app one option in Florida, while other fans might be more inclined to bet offshore, where there are typically larger markets and competitive odds.
One of the most popular markets of the night will probably be for the bout between Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Skylar Raye. This is the semi-final of the Women’s Speed Championship Tournament, and be Skylar Raye’s first fight under her new name.
Dani Sekelsky was the winner of WWE LFG season two, but it was just announced that the name Skylar Raye had been trademarked by the company, which went on to announce the name change when letting fans know she would be taking part in the Speed Championship.
The 24-year-old from Bethel, Connecticut, made her debut in January of this year and is an exciting young talent with a good future ahead of her in the WWE. Her opponent, Fallon Henley, is a more experienced performer but is better known for being part of the Fatal Influence tag team with Jacy Jayne and Lainey Reid.
Henley, real name Theresa Schuessler, began her wrestling career in 2017 with WXW (World Xtreme Wrestling) before making the move to the WWE, fighting under the name Tenilla Price. The Fatal Influence trio got together in 2024 and has been causing trouble ever since.
As well as Skylar Raye debuting her new name, a title defence from El Grande Americano will take place. He defends his WWE Men’s Speed Championship against Jasper Troy, the season one winner of WWE Evolve.
Fans of Mexican wrestling will know all about El Grande Americano, who is proclaimed to be the greatest luchador ever. While he is known for his smaller stature and manoeuvrability, his competitor is quite the opposite.
Jasper Troy is a 6ft 5″, 340 lb powerhouse from Huffman, Texas, and made his debut in May 2023. He first signed with the WWE in 2022, training at the WWE Performance Center, before debuting at the May 13th NXT Level Up event.
Mentored by Booker T. during the WWE LFG (Legends and Future Greats) reality TV show, where he emerged victorious. He went on to establish his heel persona and is ranked 141 in the PWI top 500 singles wrestlers.
Ricky Saints will also defend his NXT Champion title when he comes up against Trick Williams. They will compete in a Last Man Standing match where there are no count-outs, submissions, or disqualifications.
35-year-old Saints has worked his way up through the ranks of the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance), AEW (All Elite Wrestling), and the independent circuit before joining the WWE in February of this year and earning the NXT North American Championship by defeating Shawn Spears.
His opponent, Trick Williams, is 4 inches taller and has a 35 lb eight advantage on the current champion, and at 31, is also younger without lacking experience. He has been with the WWE since 2021 and has also featured on the TNA (Total Nonstop Action) roster this year.
The event promises to be action-packed, with some impressive title bouts lined up. Skylar Raye will be confident of making a strong start to her career under her new name, and fans would do well to back her in Florida.
