Leilani Kai Says WWE Offered To Cover Hospital Bills For Hip Surgery Before Signing Her To Legends Deal
Leilani Kai underwent a total hip replacement in September 2024. Less than a year later, she attended WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, and has been present for multiple WWE shows throughout 2025.
Speaking to Bill Apter of 1Wrestling, Kai confirmed that she is under a legends deal with WWE, and explained how things came together.
“I had surgery on my hip. I was in the hospital, and a couple of days later, [WWE] called and asked if they could take care of my hospital bill or if there was anything they could do. I told them no, that I was taken care of and was fine. Then they told me they wanted me to join their family,” she said.
Kai noted that she was surprised by WWE’s call and offer.
Leilani Kai is a former WWF World Women’s Champion, WWF World Women’s Tag Team Champion, and NWA World Women’s Champion.
