Ethan Page Scores Win Over El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. To Retain NXT North American Title At Halloween Havoc PLE

The second match of the evening at NXT Halloween Havoc was the men’s North American Championship match. Ethan Page put his title on the line against AAA Latin American Champion El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in a Day of the Dead match.

It was Page’s eighth defense of the belt. The lights in the venue were dimmed for the match, and the ring had a purple spotlight on it. Page was busted open during the bout.

There was a point when Page ripped Wagner Jr.’s mask in half, and that infuriated the AAA Latin American Champion.

The match came to an end when Page tossed powder in Wagner Jr.’s face and followed that up by delivering a Twisted Grin to Wagner Jr. off the middle rope and through a table. That secured Page the win and kept the North American Title in his possession.
