Alleged Liv Morgan Stalker’s Trial Pushed Back To 2026

Shawn Chan's Time In Court Will Now Happen Next Year

The trial for the alleged stalker of former WWE Women’s Champion Liv Morgan, Shawn Chan, will not be taking place until sometime in 2026 according to a report from PWInsider. An unopposed motion was filed earlier today before the court, with that motion requesting that the trial be pushed back two months, meaning that January 2026 would now be the earliest time in which the trial could happen.

The motion states that “Mr. Chan is charged with the interstate stalking of a professional wrestler. An initial psychological evaluation done to examine his competency diagnosed delusional disorder. The Defense has retained an expert to more fully evaluate Mr. Chan for purposes of trial, and likely to testify. If this second expert will provide testimony, the Government will have a right to conduct its own examination.”

There has been no comment yet from Morgan or her legal representation on the trial date being pushed back.

Previously, Chan had been denied release ahead of the original trial date in November. Chan, if convicted, could be facing up to five years in prison. Chan was arrested on June 3, several days after first going to Morgan’s home on May 26, which lead to the initial criminal complaint being filed against him.
