Jamie Hayter praises Skye Blue.
On the October 15th edition of AEW Dynamite earlier this week, Jamie Hayter faced off with Skye Blue in singles action in their first match together in several years, with the pair both having much more experience than their previous bouts.
While speaking to The Wrestling Classic in an interview prior to AEW WrestleDream, Jamie Hayter reflected on working with Skye again.
“I wrestled Skye Blue yesterday, and I feel like that was- she’s great, she is fantastic in the ring, I think. Of course, she had her own injury to deal with, and coming back from that, a long injury, especially in the ankle, I believe it was, I think we- that was the first time we’d wrestled for, like, in a singles match, I want to say like three years, maybe four? It was a long time. We’ve both kind of become different. I really feel like my match with her yesterday, I felt like, oh, alright. Like we kind of stepped up, stepped up our game a bit there. It was enjoyable, and yeah, I feel like even though we haven’t wrestled for a long time, she kind of- we know each other a little bit better than I thought we did in the ring. She surprised me a lot, and I hope I kind of surprised her a little bit too, given everything.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Hayter spoke about who she would team with to chase the AEW Women’s Tag Team Titles. You can read more about that here.
