Leon Slater Says Thumbtacks Are His Worst Fear In Wrestling; Would Do Light Tubes, Glass & Fire Before Thumbtacks

Thumbtacks being involved in Leon Slater’s matches is one of his worst fears.

The latest guest to join Highspots for a Sign It Live session was the reigning TNA X Division Champion, Leon Slater.

As the signing went on, it was brought up that Mustafa Ali did a 450 splash at TNA Bound For Glory and landed on thumbtacks. Slater said thumbtacks are one of his worst fears, and he’d rather use light tubes, fire, or glass before using thumbtacks.

“Absolutely not. Absolutely not,” Slater replied when asked if he would’ve done Mustafa Ali’s 450 splash landing onto thumbtacks at TNA Bound For Glory. “I would never do that in a thousand years. I’ve always said thumbtacks are my worst fear in wrestling. I would do light tubes, I would do glass, I would do fire before I do thumbtacks. Just the thought of a bunch of little holes in your body, it really cringes me out. The way I lead into it too, it’s front. Like bro, that’s your nipples, that’s the front of your thigh.” The show host mentioned that a thumbtack got stuck in Ali’s nipple, and Slater responded, “He had one in his nipple? You’re lying. Ah! (Slater laughed) That’s the worst. So that’s the worst thing ever. I could never bring myself to do that.”

Slater was featured on the post-Bound For Glory edition of TNA iMPACT ‘After the Glory.’ He spoke about his match with Je’Von Evans, and to read his comments, click here.
