The star of All Elite Wrestling, Mercedes Moné, will return to the Arena Mexico this Friday, October 17, to defend the CMLL Women’s World Championship against Persephone, in a stellar fight that will have the fans divided.
“I’ll be back at the Arena Mexico on October 17 for the month of the Amazons, and I’m going to play my CMLL Women’s World Championship, against whom?, Persephone, I’ve wrestled with you before in Forbidden Door, in a Four Way where I defended my TBS title, and who did I beat? Yes, it was you, so what makes you think you can get back on the money train? I’m the CEO for a reason: I’m the best wrestler in the world!, and you, Persephone, well, you don’t have any chance because you’re a ‘little niña’’ compared to me, so, see you soon,” said the champion.
Mercedes Moné won the CMLL Women’s World Championship on June 18, when she defeated Zeuxis at AEW Grand Slam Mexico. Two days later, she made her first defense after beating La Catalina at the Arena Mexico.
For her part, Persephone earned the right to be a challenger after winning the 2024 Universal Women’s Championship, so she will have one of the most important matches of her career.
This Friday, October 17, the Amazons will continue to make history, because CMLL’s Viernes Espectacular will be a completely all women’s show at Arena Mexico.
