Darby Allin Says The Referee Saw His ‘Insides Hanging Out’ After Glass Spot During Sting’s Last Match
Darby Allin recalls one of his gnarliest spots.
In March 2024, Darby Allin and Sting teamed up to face the Young Bucks at the AEW Revolution event. Contested under Tornado Tag rules, this was the final match of Sting’s historic career.
Near the end of the contest, Allin dove off a ladder with the intentions of taking out the Young Bucks. Instead, Allin smashed through a large pane of glass, prompting immediate bleeding.
Appearing on the Ariel Helwani show, the former TNT Champion recalled the spot, saying that the referee saw his “insides” hanging out.
“My insides were hanging out. After I fell through the glass, the ref is looking at me like, ‘How do you feel?’ I’m like, ‘I’m feeling pretty good.’ He’s like, ‘Oh shit, your insides are hanging out, we’ve gotta bring you to the back.’ I’m like, ‘I can’t go to the back, this is Sting’s last match, I’ve got one more spot.’ So if you see me pop back up, I’m duct-taped. My side was completely duct-taped. Nothing ended up coming out but you could see the insides.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Allin revealed that he was able to retire his dad with the money that he’s made from AEW. Fans can check out his full comments by clicking here.
