IYO SKY Says Retaining WWE Women’s World Title At WrestleMania 41 Is Greatest Moment Of Her Life
It was a life highlight for SKY.
Starting the in-ring action for night two of WrestleMania 41 was a Triple Threat match for the WWE Women’s World Championship.
Going into the bout, IYO SKY was the champion, and she defended against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair. SKY was interviewed by The Japan Times and reflected on retaining the title in that bout. She stated that it was the greatest moment of her life.
“I’m apparently the first Japanese woman to win at WrestleMania. And since it was also a defense of WWE’s most prestigious title, it was definitely the greatest moment of my life. Not just the result but also being with the best wrestlers in Bianca and Rhea. I was able to take on the best stage, the best performers, the best match, and make the most of history.”
WWE talents are being interviewed by Japan-based outlets ahead of their house shows in Tokyo on October 17th and 18th.
