Je’Von Evans Looks Back On WWE NXT Match Against Randy Orton, Says He Can Text Or Call Orton Whenever He Wants To

It was an experience that Evans looks back fondly on.

It was on October 8th, 2024, that Je’Von Evans wrestled Randy Orton on WWE NXT. It was the second show of the brand’s run on The CW Network, and that show took place in Orton’s home state of Missouri.

A full year later, Je’Von looked back on the match when he appeared on Notsam Wrestling Live!. Evans stated that he was nervous and still gets butterflies thinking about it. He added that he’s able to text or call Orton whenever he wants.

“I ain’t gonna lie my boy, I was nervous. Come on now. I was shaking in my boots. It was such a great learning experience bro. A great opportunity. It was something that I wasn’t expecting, or at least this early in my career… I get butterflies thinking about it, and it’s been happened but I still get butterflies about the match. But, it was such a great experience, and now, now I’m able to connect with Randy, and get advice and text him and call him whenever I want to. It’s great. It’s a blessing for sure, for sure, and I think that match helped me develop who Je’Von Evans is.”

Evans was in action at NXT vs. TNA Showdown and competed in the four-on-four men’s elimination match. He was eliminated from the bout by his TNA Bound For Glory opponent, X Division Champion Leon Slater.
