Raja Jackson To Be Charged With Felony Battery In Incident With Syko Stu

Raja Jackson will be charged with one count of felony battery that caused serious bodily injury and one count of misdemeanor battery stemming from his incident with Syko Stu at KnokX Pro in August.

The Los Angeles Times first reported the news.

The report also stated prosecutors will seek a sentencing enhancement because Jackson allegedly caused Stuart Smith (Syko Stu) to suffer great bodily injury. A criminal complaint is expected to be filed on Tuesday, according to the district attorney’s office.

Jackson is expected to appear in court for an arraignment later this week. He was arrested on felony assault in September, but released on $50,000 bail.

At the event, Raja legitimately knocked out Stu in a planned spot that went too far. Raja entered the ring, slamming Stu and knocking him out, before delivering over 20 legitimate strikes to the head.

Prior to the incident, Stu confronted Raja outside the venue and smashed a beer can over his head. Stu appeared to think they were working and was shocked that Raja didn’t sell the beer can shot. After speaking with the KnokX Pro promoter, the two parties later shook hands and appeared to have reached an understanding.

Raja is the son of MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Rampage gave his thoughts, including what Raja told him, in an interview shortly after the incident. Fans can read his comments here.
