Steve Maclin Says ‘It Was A Really Cool Moment’ Teaming With Mr. Anderson On TNA iMPACT
It was a cool moment for Maclin to be part of.
For the first time since 2016, Mr. Anderson competed in a TNA ring. He returned to the promotion at their television taping and teamed with Steve Maclin.
Anderson and Maclin main evented and picked up a win over Frankie Kazarian and Jake Something. Maclin looked back on that while appearing on Rewind Recap Relive.
“It was really cool, really cool moment because it was a big moment for him, for his family being there in the crowd. As a side note, people didn’t know, like, that was the first time his kids got to see him wrestle for a major company. So, for me to be a part of that, I told him — we were chatting afterwards and we’ve been texting here and there since we had the match up in Minnesota. Uh, was really cool for me to be a part of and I just hope we did enough for him to make him happy to have that moment in his career and just, it was cool. It was a really cool moment.”
At the preceding Victory Road special, Maclin lost the TNA International Championship to Frankie Kazarian after being distracted by AAA’s El Mesías.
There will be a rematch between Kazarian and Maclin for the International Title at Bound For Glory.
