WWE SmackDown Announcer Mark Nash Explains Why He Doesn’t Want To Know Match Results In Advance

New WWE SmackDown ring announcer Mark Nash explains why he prefers a spoiler-free viewing experience of the WWE shows he announces.

Mark Nash is the latest voice of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. He replaced Alicia Taylor when Taylor moved over to WWE Raw. Sometimes, ring announcers can make a moment mean much more by the power of their announcement. WWE Hall of Famer Howard Finkel’s voice is present for some of the most iconic moments in wrestling history.

With WWE being a predetermined presentation, ring announcers can know the outcome of matches before they take place. However, Mark Nash prefers to go in like every other fan. He explained why during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast.

“No, no, no. Why would I? I want to live in that moment with the fans, right? And then hopefully that my read for the result sounds even more authentic, because, holy sh*t, he won! I don’t want to know the results.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Mark Nash spoke about how announcing John Cena’s farewell run gave him a good introduction to the WWE Universe. Read more here.
