Stephanie Vaquer Becomes New WWE Women’s World Champion At Wrestlepalooza PLE

Stephanie Vaquer captures gold on the main roster.
The WWE Women’s World Championship was vacated after Naomi announced that she and Jimmy Uso are expecting a child.
It was then determined that at the Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event, a new champion would be crowned via a match between Stephanie Vaquer and IYO SKY.
Throughout the bout, Vaquer worked on SKY’s knee. SKY pulled her kneepads down to relieve some pressure, and she used her exposed knees to run into SKY in the corner.
SKY went up for a moonsault, but Vaquer moved out of the way and SKY landed directly on her bad knee. Vaquer followed up and hit a Spiral Tap, and that secured her the win and the WWE Women’s World Championship.
Post-match, SKY and Vaquer embraced one another, and Vaquer went to hug her father at ringside. In just one year with WWE, Vaquer has captured the NXT Women’s, NXT Women’s North American, and WWE Women’s World Championships.
